Set in Fort Collins, Colorado, Young Friends is a coming-of-age comedy-drama about nine friends growing up together through the moments that change everything—and the seemingly ordinary ones they’ll remember forever.

At the center of the series are Jack, Erica, Emma, Hazel, Joey, Mike, Sophie, Ben, and Alex, a close-knit group whose lives are connected through friendship, family, school, relationships, and the community around them. As they navigate high school, college, careers, love, loss, and growing responsibilities, their friendships are tested, strengthened, and constantly changed by the people they become.

Young Friends blends heartfelt, character-driven stories with the unpredictable comedy of everyday life. Some episodes follow major milestones, complicated relationships, and difficult personal struggles. Others are simply about a ridiculous night out, a family gathering that gets completely out of hand, an ordinary school day that becomes anything but ordinary, or friends sitting around talking about absolutely nothing—and somehow making a memory out of it.

Faith is also an important part of the series. Rather than portraying faith as something simple or perfect, Young Friends explores what it can actually look like to believe, doubt, question, struggle, make mistakes, seek forgiveness, and continue growing. The characters are at different places in their journeys, and those journeys develop naturally alongside everything else happening in their lives.

Although the story begins during the characters’ high school years, Young Friends is ultimately about growing up together. The series follows these friendships beyond graduation and into adulthood as the characters pursue careers, build families, experience new challenges, and discover just how much life can change while the people closest to you remain part of the story.
